The Eastern Bluebirds have begun nesting in earnest on my property. These are my favorite birds to watch and every year I'm fortunate enough to have several breeding pairs. My biggest problem is keeping the woodpeckers from destroying the opening. I think this year I'm going to add copper covers to the baffles. This industrious pair has been working all morning on bringing in the nesting material. I notice whenever the male takes something in the box the female is close behind to put it in the correct spot. Some things never change.
